The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia sent a criminal case against hacker Alexei Feshchenko, accused of embezzling more than 10 million rubles from three commercial organizations of the Vladimir region, to court. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office.

"The General Prosecutor's Office has approved the indictment in the criminal case against Alexei Feshchenko. The criminal case has been sent to the Kovrov City Court of the Vladimir Region for consideration on the merits," the department said. Feshchenko is accused of committing crimes under Part 4 of Art. 159.6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud in the field of computer information on an especially large scale), part 5 of Art. 33, part 3 of Art. 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (complicity in illegal access to computer information) and part 5 of Art. 33, part 2 of Art. 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (aiding in the distribution and use of malicious computer programs).

According to the investigation, from September to November 2018, Feshchenko and other unidentified persons distributed malicious software on the Internet, with the help of which they gained access to the local computer networks of three commercial organizations in Kovrov, Vladimir Region. Hackers stole 10.8 million rubles from businessmen using forged payment documents.

The criminal case will be considered in the Kovrov City Court of the Vladimir Region. Also, work continues to find other people involved in this story.

Earlier, a criminal case was initiated in the Vladimir regionagainst a local hacker. A man penetrated into legally protected computer information via the Internet and deleted it. According to the press service of the FSB Directorate for the Vladimir Region, the resident of Kovrov, born in 1982, entered the information resources of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute Signal (part of the High-Precision Complexes holding of the Rostec State Corporation, containing computer information protected by law.
