In Thailand, law enforcement agencies are investigating the recent hacking of a video surveillance system in a prison in the south of the country. According to The New York Times, the attackers gained unauthorized access to the cameras and broadcasted video from them on the BigBrother's Gaze YouTube channel for several hours.

The Correction Department at the Thai Ministry of Justice has confirmed that several security cameras at Lang Suan Prison in Chumphon were hacked by unidentified people outside the country. The authorities became aware of the incident from a journalist who accidentally stumbled upon a broadcast.

The director general of the correction department, Colonel Narat Savettanan, ordered the video surveillance systems to be turned off and an investigation into the incident started. The head of the correctional institution was also instructed to contact the police with a statement.

The broadcast was broadcast on BigBrother's Gaze's YouTube channel on Tuesday, December 24, and was mistakenly signed as broadcast from a Bangkok prison. On Wednesday, the video was no longer available. According to The New York Times, earlier on the channel video was also published from cameras in the office of the Thai company, on the streets of Salt Lake City, in the Australian company and in the Amsterdam cafe. There are currently no videos on the channel. The number of BigBrother's Gaze subscribers is about 1.4 thousand people.
