A very unusual incident occurred in Tokyo with the participation of an employee of one of the shopping centers. 34-year-old Yusuke Taniguchi was arrested for stealing data from bank cards of 1.3 thousand people with their subsequent use for illegal purchases on the Internet. As it turned out, the Japanese had a photographic memory, and while the buyer paid with the card, he remembered its 16-digit number, holder’s name, expiration date and security code.

The question arises, why a person with such a brilliant memory could not escape arrest? The fault was the unluckiness of the criminal. With extraordinary abilities, Taniguchi was a very simple-minded person.

According to the Japanese, he handed over illegally purchased goods to a pawnshop, and spent the proceeds on food and rental housing. Once, using the details of someone else's bank card, he bought two bags on the Internet in the amount of 270 thousand yen ($ 2.5 thousand). Since Taniguchi indicated his home address when ordering goods, it was not difficult for the police to find him. Therefore, in March of this year, along with a courier, law enforcement officers also arrived at the suspect's home.
