For the first time, information about the Turkish scandal appeared in November 2021. Then it turned out that many local streamers are helping scammers to launder money by buying Bits on Twitch from stolen credit cards. Influencers returned 70-80% of their profits to them. According to the DHA (Demirören News Agency), minors and e-sportsmen were also involved in the scheme. In particular, the world champion in Valorant Mehmet "cNed" Yagiz Ipek was implicated in the scandal.
