Law enforcement officials of Ukraine exposed a criminal group that sold classified information. According to the press service of the Department of Cyberpolice of the National Police of Ukraine, the attackers created a website through which they sold to interested parties data on the export and import of goods into Ukraine, including on purchases and movements of military equipment.

Currently, the investigation is trying to establish the source from which the criminals received the above information. According to preliminary data, they bought it on the darknet, and then resold it. The client base of criminals totaled about fifty people. In order to cover up their tracks, the attackers placed their site on a server abroad.

During searches at the place of residence of members of the criminal group and at the office, law enforcement officers seized computer equipment containing information with limited access, as well as bank cards used by criminals to cash out illegally obtained funds.

The incident is qualified under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2, Article 361 (“Unauthorized interference with the operation of computers, automated systems, computer networks or telecommunication networks, leading to leakage, forgery, blocking of information, distortion of the processing of information or to violation of the established procedure of its routing ") and part 2 of article 361-2 (" Unauthorized marketing or distribution of information with limited access stored in computers, automated systems, computer networks or media so th information ").
