The head of state doubts the need to create a cyberpolice in Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is not convinced of the advisability of creating such an authority as cyber police in Russia. The head of state said this on Friday, September 6, as part of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

According to the RIA Novosti news agency, Putin noted that law enforcement agencies should pay more attention to selling drugs via the Internet.

“I don’t know if cyber police are needed. The Ministry of Internal Affairs should keep in mind that criminals use modern methods of distribution (drugs - ed.). Within existing drug control structures, we will have to do this. I will definitely tell Kolokoltsev (Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation - ed.), ”The president said.
