Details of the arrest of a citizen of Belarus by the St. Petersburg Bureau of Interpol have become known today. At the request of the United States, Sergei Pavlovich was put on the international wanted list for fraud with bank cards.

The US authorities suspect him of stealing personal data worth a billion dollars and are seeking extradition. At the department, Pavlovich was asked a couple of questions and released. After all, he admitted his guilt long ago and even served a ten-year sentence in Belarus.

The hacker was reportedly released after a conversation with the prosecutor. “I’m already in the hotel, not in the cell, although I also visited the cell yesterday,” the hacker said. He added that he has hired a lawyer in the United States who will deal with the settlement of claims from the American authorities.

Recall that the former hacker and now a popular YouTube blogger has already been convicted of fraud with personal data on bank cards, for which he served time in a Belarusian prison. However, the United States still hopes to get Pavlovich at their disposal.
