Hackers Who Stole 5.9 Million Rubles Were Convicted In The Moscow Region

The Domodedovo City Court of the Moscow Region sentenced two members of an organized group of hackers, Mikhail Kucherenko and Alexei Sedunov, who were found guilty of illegal access to computer information and the use and distribution of malicious computer programs. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Region Prosecutor's Office. In the summer of 2016, Mikhail Kucherenko and Alexey Sedunov, together with their accomplices, spread malicious software on the Internet and gained access to the local computer networks of a number of organizations in different regions of the country.







The attackers copied information about various payments. The data obtained allowed them to steal 5.9 million rubles.

The court sentenced Kucherenko and Sedunov to each in the form of six years' suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of five years.
