The court of the American state of Washington sentenced the Ukrainian Fyodor Gladyr to 10 years in prison for a series of cyberattacks, which led to financial losses in the amount of more than $ 1 billion. This is stated on April 16 in a message published on the official website of the US Department of Justice.

"The defendant and his accomplices have compromised millions of financial accounts and caused more than $ 1 billion in losses to the Americans and the US economy," the US Department of Justice said.

Ukrainian citizens Fyodor Gladyr, as well as Dmitry Fyodorov and Andrey Kopakov, were detained in 2018 on charges of cyber attacks against more than 100 companies. According to Washington, they were part of the FIN7 hacker group, which attacked companies in the United States, stole millions of bank card numbers, and hacked in the UK, Australia and France.
