Against the background of the growth of cybercrime, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is interested in creating a unified cybercrime database, which will include data from the Central Bank. TASS reports.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed that detailed comments before the creation of such a database is considered premature.

The Ministry of Finance reports that a unified approach to the formation of statistics on cybercrimes will make it possible to fight more effectively against fraudsters. Large Russian banks also reacted positively to this idea.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in four months of 2021, the number of IT crimes in Russia increased by 31.5%. Almost two thirds of them are carried out using the Internet, over a third - using mobile communications.
